About Roxi

So, who the hell is Roxi?

This is the boring biographical stuff – I’ll try not to send you to sleep! My name is Roxanne, but I prefer Roxi because it sounds cooler and slightly less like the song by The Police. I’m a twenty-(mumble)something woman living in Auckland, New Zealand. Although I travel a fair bit for work, I’m nearly always online (I love you, iPhone). I’m a Gemini, which means I talk a lot – but I also like to write, so starting this blog seemed like a good idea at the time.

I mean, I have interests other than getting my rocks off, but I think sexuality is something we as a society need to be more open to talking about. The best sex involves using your mouth (to talk, people!)

I currently identify as bisexual, because I’m attracted to people of my gender and people who are a different gender. Although I’ve been polyamorous in the past, I’m currently in a monogamous relationship with a partner who seems to be my perfect match. I’m into Safe, Sane and Consensual kink, where I identify as a Switch because I’ve enjoyed both sides of S&M and Dom/sub.

Bondage and restraints, blindfolds and sensory deprivation, pain play, getting to subspace, power exchange, and fun with toys.

It’s that last bit, really, that I want to blog about. Over the years, I’ve spent quite a bit of my hard earned cash on adult toys and tools and sexy stuff. I feel like I’ve learned a bit about what makes a product worth paying out your pennies for, and what will leave you frustrated in the worst of ways.

In addition, I’ve ventured into many of New Zealand’s adult shops over the years and seen a wide range. These days, I mostly buy my stuff online but I still like to pop into shops and have a squiz.

So I will be writing about the products and retailers that I’ve experienced, and hopefully help you guys make good choices too! Along the way, I’ll post about things like kink, sexual health, orientation and other related issues.
